Free SSL Certificates: How to Get HTTPS on Your Website
HTTPS encrypts the connection between your visitors and your website. Browsers warn users about sites without it, and search engines prefer secure pages.
Free vs paid SSL
Free certificates (issued automatically on cPanel by AutoSSL with Let's Encrypt or Sectigo) use the same encryption as paid ones. Paid certificates add organisation validation (OV/EV), warranties and a site seal — useful for banks and large shops.
How it works on our hosting
Once your domain points to our servers, a certificate is issued automatically, usually within an hour, and renewed before it expires. You can see its status under SSL/TLS Status in cPanel.
Force HTTPS
In cPanel open Domains and turn on Force HTTPS Redirect. In WordPress, make sure both addresses under Settings → General start with https://.
Fix mixed content
If the padlock is missing, some images or scripts still load over http://. Replace those URLs with https:// or use a search-replace plugin.
Check your certificate
Use our free SSL checker to see the issuer, expiry date and covered names of any website.
